6. Avoid carbs
Want to lower your blood sugar but don’t want to fast? Can’t say I blame you! In that case, an alternative is to avoid carbs. Carbohydrates are foods that contain simple sugars and this means that the sugar reaches the bloodstream more quickly than it does with other types of food.
This results in sudden spikes of sugar after big meals, unlike fats that digest more slowly and supply a steady trickle of energy. Avoid carbs for a while and your diet will go down, switch to a low carb diet and you will permanently decrease them.
