6 Early Diabetes Symptoms You Should Watch Out For

Diabetes is a condition where the body cannot process the glucose that you get from the foods that you eat. Glucose is what gives you the energy to make it through the day and perform all of your bodily functions. But people with diabetes cannot process glucose – otherwise known as sugar – which causes levels to rise in the bloodstream and affects multiple organs and functions.

Diabetes is a serious illness around the world, but it is especially prevalent in the United States. But the good news is, if you catch the disease early enough, there is a good chance that you will be able to manage it without disrupting things too much. That makes knowing the early warning signs of diabetes extremely important.

These early warning signs are somewhat mysterious. You may experience some of these signs, but it is unlikely that you will be able to connect them with a possible diabetes diagnosis unless you are actively thinking about it. We will look at six early diabetes symptoms that you should be aware of below. If you notice any of the symptoms, it is a good idea to get your blood sugar checked and notify your doctor.

1. Hunger and Fatigue

Diabetes doesn’t just affect older people, but the older you get the more at risk you are from it. One of the early warning signs of diabetes is hunger combined with low energy. The problem is, when you get older, your appetite can sometimes increase in your energy level definitely goes down.

This is why some people do not recognize diabetes for what it is based upon the symptoms. However, if you are having both of these at the same time, then you should definitely get your blood sugar checked right away.
