4. Increased Thirst
With increased urination comes increased thirst. This is simply due to the fact that the patient is making so much additional urine and continually emptying their bladder and their system. This leaves them with a hydration deficit and makes them very thirsty as they try to regain the fluids.
Someone with type 1 diabetes might find themselves repeatedly visiting the bathroom to fill up glasses of water, or they might find themselves with dry mouths and sore throats.
