3. Bed-Wetting
Remember: type 1 diabetes is most likely to affect younger children, unlike type 2 diabetes (although both can occur at any age). A young child with nocturnal enuresis is more likely than an adult to fail to make it to the toilet and as such, they are more likely to wet the bed.
Bedwetting is relatively normal for children at some point during their development, but the key factor to look out for here is ‘change’. If your child didn’t previously wet the bed and they now have a habit of doing so, then this suggests that something has altered in their system.
