4. Blurry vision
There are a couple of things to be aware of when it comes to the symptom of blurry vision. Most of the time, when someone with diabetes gets a blurry vision, it is due to the sudden increase in blood glucose, which causes the lens of the eye to swell and makes your vision blurry and can sometimes even rob you temporarily of your ability to see.
But the other thing to be concerned about is diabetic retinopathy, a diabetes complication that forces the retina to try to get the blood that it needs in more creative ways, such as trying to build new blood vessels. This often backfires because a blockage may be preventing blood flow to the eye, and that can cause a myriad of eye symptoms.
