You should definitely strive as hard as you can for perfection, but accept the reality that you are never actually going to achieve it. The best you can do is the best that you can do, and the sooner you accept that is the truth the easier it will be to manage your diabetes.
You are going to make mistakes. In fact, if you were just recently diagnosed, you’re going to make quite a few of them. Just make sure you are concentrating on what is most important, do the best you can, and talk to your doctor about any problems that you are having managing your disease.
