4. Tiredness
Childhood diabetes can develop relatively early, but not so early that you should not be able to see if your child is more tired than other children his or her age, or is sleeping more than other children.
The problem is, diabetes makes the body unable to process food properly and use the glucose that the food contains in order to power the body processes such as physical activity, internal activity and other metabolic processes. If your child feels tired even after a full night sleep, then you may want to get his or her blood sugar checked.
