Apples are a great fruit choice for diabetics. There isn’t much sugar in an apple, nor are there a great many carbs. In fact, what you’ll actually find a lot of in your apples is water, which is something that everyone needs to be drinking more of, but especially those with diabetes.
An apple has about 25 carbohydrates and a fair amount of sugar. The American Diabetes Association has cleared apples as a fruit that diabetics can have, however, as long as the values fit into your daily carbohydrate restrictions.
