4. Weakness in the muscles
Some people that have peripheral neuropathy may also have trouble doing any sort of significant task with their hands. They may also have muscle weakness in other areas like the legs or feet, which makes it difficult to walk or stand.
Those that suffer from chronic muscle weakness due to diabetes are often restricted to electric wheelchairs and unable to perform the simplest household tasks.
