5. Reduced reflexes
If you feel as if you don’t have the reflexes that you use to, this could be a sign of peripheral neuropathy. This happens because it is the same nerve pathways that we’ve been discussing throughout this article that carry messages to your brain. Whether that message is “this surface is hot” or a response to a stimulus that should provoke an immediate reflex.
When those pathways degrade due to nerve damage, those signals travel slowly, or in some cases do not get there at all.
