5. Cherries
Cherries… oh my! Cherries are good sources of glucose. Their peak harvest season is summer, so you will be in plenty during this time. You will see them popping up at grocery stores a lot during this time, so they will be easy to get your hands on. And, they are a nice change of pace to the more common apples and bananas that are eaten year-round in the United States. Cherries also supply a good source of vitamin C and dietary fiber.
They are also convenient because you do not have to peel them… though look out for the seed in the middle! You will have to dispose of this some way, so make sure to have a discard container nearby while eating these delicious drupes (stone fruits).
