7. Watch Your Feet
If you suffer from diabetic neuropathy, your feet could be a major casualty. One symptom of this condition is reduced sensation in the feet and legs. Inspect your feet regularly to make sure you haven’t received any cuts or scratches that require attention. You may not notice lacerations which could lead to serious infection if they are left untreated.
Also, you may want to focus closely when you are getting up, walking or running, because you may be more vulnerable to tripping over things if you have neuropathy. Wear socks to protect your feet and to prevent cuts and scratches.
