6. Get Some Exercise
Your pain may make you feel like staying put, but getting exercise on a regular basis can reduce nerve pain or lift your mood so you can deal with the symptoms. Walking or jogging can get your circulation moving and can reduce pain.
In addition, the more exercise you get, the more limber you will feel. Pain can cause our bodies to feel tighter, and loosening muscles and nerves can lift the tension. Exercise can release endorphins that can elevate the mood and help you cope with your symptoms. Studies have shown that those with diabetic neuropathy who got regular exercise reported less pain.
