4. Lowered Body Temperature
Another sign to be aware of is lowered body temperature. This happens because glucose is partially responsible for keeping your body warm. If you take your child’s temperature and it is below 97°F, then you may want to look for other symptoms of diabetes or set up an appointment with your provider to get a test done.
Unfortunately, many parents do not take their child’s temperature unless they are sick, which can lead you not only to believe that your child does not have a lower temperature, but that they might not be sick as well. So test your child regularly; even when they aren’t sick.
