5. Exercise is important, too
Your diet is, without a doubt, the most effective way to manage your weight and your blood sugar, and will help to significantly reduce the chances of developing type 2 diabetes. However, exercise can also be helpful too for reducing blood sugar levels and preventing the progression of pre-diabetes into type 2 diabetes.
Experts recommended 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise for a total of 5 days a week. Strength training exercises can also help. Exercising doesn’t have to involve hitting the gym; anything that increases your heart rate and makes breathing a little harder will help.
