9 Signs and Symptoms of Diabetic Gastroparesis

Since digestion cannot continue properly with gastroparesis, acid reflux and heartburn can result. A chronic burning sensation beginning in the stomach and extending up the esophagus is a common feeling when digestion is slowed or back up.

The acidic feeling is the result of stomach acids building up and you may even experience an acidic taste in your mouth with severe cases of acid reflux. You can take antacids to relieve the symptoms, but it is important to get to the source of the problem, which may be irregular stomach functioning. If acid reflux doesn’t go away, see a doctor.
