3. Dehydration
It stands to reason that the increased amount of fluid that your body is losing through urination that dehydration would be a symptom that is associated with diabetes insipidius. As mentioned above, you might feel as if you have not had anything to drink, despite drinking an excessive amount of fluids.
While you may be drinking more, if you have diabetes insipidus, your body is not able to retain the fluids that you are taking in, which can increase the chances of developing dehydration. Signs of dehydration included an even greater thirst and a marked loss of energy.
