24 Symptoms of Diabetic Neuropathy

2. Tingling or burning

Much more common with peripheral neuropathy is tingling or burning. Neuropathy is kind of strange. Sometimes it prevents you from feeling a pinch and sometimes it hurts a lot worse than it should. You will usually notice this symptom in your hands, particularly in your joints and fingers, and possibly on the side of the hand.

However, many people experience tinging and burning in their legs and feet as well. In either case, it is probably going to be worse at night.
