3. Fasted cardio
Another particularly effective form of exercise for lowering blood sugar fasts cardio. This is a form of exercise that involves running first thing in the morning. The reason this works is that it means you’re exercising before you have added additional carbohydrates and glucose to your system.
Thus the body will deplete the smaller amounts of sugar in the system and then move on to the glycogen stores. Once again, this creates a similar ‘afterburn’ effect, where the body now needs to try and restore those levels of glycogen and will do so by sending sugar to them whenever you consume it.
