2. Use HIIT
Working out is a great way to lower blood sugar. Working out the right way is even better though. And the ‘right way’ in this case means HIIT. HIIT is a form of exercise that involves alternating between bursts of highly intensive anaerobic exercise such as sprinting and then periods of active recovery such as lightly jogging.
When you run at these high speeds, it forces the body to use up blood sugar as well as glycogen stored in the cells. Both these effects will then create a deficit that the body has to replenish later throughout the day. In other words, the food you eat subsequently will be utilized to restore the glycogen levels rather than circulating through the blood.
