4. Cut processed meat
You shouldn’t completely cut carbohydrates from your diet, seeing as every natural food group has important functions in the body. However what you can avoid to completely remove from your diet is processed meat!
Processed meat is meat that has been ground up and which often has a lot of unwanted added trans fats. This includes the likes of sausage rolls or pork pies. Studies show a correlation between processed meats and increased likelihood of diabetes. At one point it was thought that protein, in general, was what caused increased diabetes risk but then it was found that only processed meats had the effect.
