Chicken-fried steak, sometimes called country-fried steak, is a food that you should avoid when you have diabetes. One of the dangers with this food comes with the thick gravy loaded with carbohydrates that come with it. But even if you get plain, this is not a healthy food for diabetics.
This steak is made from tender ice cube steak and then dipped in white flour. The meat is high-fat, the breading is extremely starchy and it is just a bad idea for anyone with diabetes. It also does damage to your cardiovascular system so it is a bad idea for anyone at the bad heart as well.
