3. Weight Loss
Again, this is a sign that is more likely to be noticeable with actual diabetes, but you may find that prior to this point you already start to lose a little weight.
The reason for this is that without insulin, the body isn’t instructed to absorb sugar from the blood and use it. As a result, it starts to look elsewhere for its energy and that might mean burning fat or it might mean burning muscle. Without insulin, the body also won’t store excess sugar as fat.
If you notice yourself becoming more defined and you haven’t changed your diet, it may not necessarily be a cause for celebration.
