3. Frequent Thirst
Something that goes hand-in-hand with frequent urination is frequent thirst. Both of these are caused by diabetes. In addition, both of these are early warning signs. So, why do you get frequent thirst with diabetes? It is because dehydration actually starts in the brain.
When your blood sugar levels are high, that blood laden with sugar goes to the brain and your body is going to draw in fluid from all over the body in order to dilute it. This leads to dehydration and it is why you feel thirsty.
