2. Sugar Leads to Diabetes

Many people believe that eating large quantities of sugar can cause diabetes. Although sugar is not healthy in high doses and can lead to obesity that can cause diabetes, high sugar intake by itself doesn’t cause the condition.

Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disorder that is genetic, in many cases. Type 2 diabetes can be caused by a number of factors, including lifestyle, obesity, lack of physical activity, and high blood pressure. Engaging in a healthy lifestyle can greatly lower your risk of developing diabetes, but eating sugar does not necessarily cause the condition.
